One of the best places to catch the sunrise, sunset, and clouds that make one daydream.

"Saddlerock", otherwise and originally known as "Two Bears" to the Wenatchii tribe, beckons hikers year round.

With the blues of snowy shadows, I irrationally(abstractly) painted the late summer browns next to them, rather than shadowed dark greys and blues and blacks in the photo. The idea of seasons overlapping has been a theme this year I have noticed..and our simultaneous fear of change, but desire for the next season, fascinates me. This piece I suppose could be called "present and future hope".

Breathing deep today under cloudy and sunshine skies.

This painting is from the Northwest series done in mixed media, which were created as a type of ‘living prayer’ for the places around the valley I grew up in, as well as other Northwest destinations that have had special meaning and are close to my heart. Mountains have always fascinated me with the strength and beauty they represent and inspire me to create. I hope this series creates a connection for you with the peace and beauty of this part of the Northwest I call home.
