Northern Lights around the world in 2023 have been a supernatural phenomenon, and particularly around the northwest, and even Cashmere! God speaks to me through creation so much and with Aurora Borealis showing up in our part of the country, I believe they started showing up the week Cashmere hosted a special worship night speaker sharing and declaring communion and Unity in the body of Christ- ,declaring signs and wonders would be displayed in creation as well. He powerfully shared about the blood of Jesus speaking louder over Washington state than anything the enemy is doing. It has been warfare. And God is victorious in the heavens and on earth. I wanted to partner with Him in what He is declaring in the skies over our state, with HIS glory. Its been 'burning in my bones' ever since I saw pictures of them posted on social media, to capture them in my own way. The northern lights are one of very few things on my bucket list and Im still in awe that they happened while I was sleeping in my own town! I pray they shout hope to you as well in the darkest of nights.

This painting is from the Northwest series done in mixed media, which were created as a type of ‘living prayer’ for the places around the valley I grew up in, as well as other Northwest destinations that have had special meaning and are close to my heart. Mountains have always fascinated me with the strength and beauty they represent and inspire me to create. I hope this series creates a connection for you with the peace and beauty of this part of the Northwest I call home.
