IF WALLS SPEAK,
WHAT DO YOU WANT YOURS TO SAY?
CONNECTION. HOPE. INSPIRATION. This is what I love to create and speak on walls. What about you?
Memories, celebration, encouragement. I want to create original work and prints that hold out life giving truth for you, landscapes that hold special memories, simple cards in the mailbox that breathe hope to a hurting soul, or a custom art piece for a special family member or occasion.
My husband Daniel Patrick (hence ‘patrick’ in tealpatrickart), and Allison Teal here, live tucked on a hillside in Cashmere, Washington with our 4 school aged kids. You can often find us on paths marveling at the beauty surrounding the Pacific Northwest. Thankful, inspired and hopeful, are words that proceed from our mouths in a constant flow and which I try to weave into each piece I create. This perspective has expanded since my childhood in the Wenatchee valley.
I spent most of my time as a child loving all types of creativity and it felt like a dream to be able to focus on art in college. Growing up I spent hours painting gifts for family and friends, practicing calligraphy and watercolor, discovering artists such as Timothy Botts and in college being so inspired by artists of the Middle Ages with their ‘illuminated manuscripts’. I had one class in printmaking that completely fascinated me as well, and I have found it to be the most informative in my mixed media watercolor processes now. Printmaking and calligraphy and other impressionistic artists have inspired my mixed media styles, where I try to express thoughts, prayers, and beauty in a unique way.
What really drives every piece of art for me though, is inspiration from the Creator. Creativity for me is a form of worship, and my hope is that each piece you encounter here breathes fresh hope into your life. Please feel free to look around, reach out with any ‘creative’ dreams you would like to go after together through my commissions page or email me any time through the contact page. Thanks for stopping by!
